Teaching Black & Hispanic Kids Entrepreneurship, Web3 & Investing
Inspired Minds Kids Business School is an educational organization which focuses on teaching Black & Hispanic children between the ages of 6-10 yrs Entrepreneurship, Web3 & Investing. Our goal is to empower children through this educational program and help develop young business savvy entrepreneurs who will have a solid understanding of Web3 and investing.
Our Why
-
Billionaire Investor Warren Buffett started reading books about investing when he was just 7 or 8 years old. By the time he was 11, Buffett was going to the local public library in Omaha and reading every book he could find on Investing. Growing up Entrepreneur Patrick Collison (Founder of Stripe) read voraciously. His parents took him to the library every day and encouraged his love for learning. He took his first computer course at the age of 8 at the University Limerick. Naval Ravikant Co-Founder & Former CEO of Angel List, refers to libraries as his after-school center. He would spend his entire afternoon there and read any book he could get his hands on.
It’s a known fact that Black & Hispanic families have significantly less wealth than white families in America. Therefore their children generally have less access to opportunities that could help them succeed in life.
Recent statistic show the following:
- A white family owns about $184,000 in family wealth
- A Black family owns $23,000
- A Hispanic family owns $38,000Researchers have noted that 80% of our brain growth happens by age 3.
One study from Cambridge University found that kids are already able to grasp basic money concepts between the ages of 3 and 4. And by age 7, basic concepts relating to future financial behaviors will typically have developed. With Web3 on the horizon, we see a unique opportunity that could give Black & Hispanic children a head start in life and help level the playing field. We believe that exposing children to the right knowledge at a young age can have a tremendous impact on them and can change the trajectory of their lives.
“Education begins the moment we see children as innately wise and capable beings. Only then can we play along in their world.”
